Landmar Playa la Arena and Landmar Costa los Gigantes have been awarded the Travelife Gold Seal, one of the most important certifications for sustainable tourist accommodation, thanks to their commitment to sustainable tourism and their Corporate Social Responsibility proposals.

Travelife is an international certification that, through an external audit, assesses that the accommodation meets the highest standards of sustainability and social and cultural respect.

At Landmar Hotels, we believe that every small action matters when it comes to caring for the planet and its people. That’s why we are proud to announce that Landmar Playa la Arena and Landmar Costa los Gigantes have been awarded the Biosphere certification — a seal that endorses our commitment to more respectful and conscious tourism.

This recognition, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, is granted following a thorough external audit that assesses key areas such as environmental protection, community well-being, and responsible resource management. It’s a meaningful step that motivates us to continue working every day with purpose and responsibility.

Landmar Hotels' commitment to sustainability and continuous improvement in this area has been recognized in the 2023 edition with the "Award for the best sustainable practice in tourist accommodation", awarded by Turismo de Tenerife.

  Thanks to the Clean Energies project: it is NOW, the hotel chain has demonstrated its commitment to the environment through initiatives such as the installation of photovoltaic panels in its two hotels, the use of salt chlorinators for the maintenance of its swimming pools, the implementation of desalination plants and the incorporation of technologies such as aerothermal energy.

This award recognizes the company's efforts not only in environmental sustainability, but also in the care of people and the community.

At Landmar Hotels, we believe that every decision counts when it comes to building a more sustainable future. That's why we continue to incorporate solutions that allow us to reduce our impact and move towards a more responsible tourism model.

Thanks to the support of the European Union – NextGenerationEU, we have developed a photovoltaic installation project for self-consumption, within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and the Sustainable Energy Strategy in the Canary Islands.

The installation, consisting of 360 photovoltaic modules with a total power of 147 kWp and a 400 kWh battery system, allows us to improve our energy efficiency and make smarter use of the energy we generate.

With a total investment of €661,934.93, of which €397,160.96 has been financed by the NextGenerationEU Funds, this project contributes to the reduction of emissions and reinforces our commitment to more conscious tourism, aligned with the care of the environment and people.
